Career Experience

I first began tutoring as a high school student, and enjoyed the work and experience so much that everywhere I have gone since, whether community college, undergraduate, graduate school, and beyond, I have continued working as a tutor. My experiences have allowed me to work with diverse students in diverse subjects, ranging from the middle school to undergraduate level. My most frequently tutored subjects are English, Essay Writing, Anthropology, and Japanese language, but beyond those I've tutored for STEM subjects, music theory, history, and ethnic studies. I've been an in-home tutor, worked in a university tutoring center, been a zoom-based tutor, been an embedded tutor/assistant in college courses, and even been a freelance private tutor online. With all these different contexts I've worked in, I'm most excited by the unique features and philosophy of Tutor.com, truly enabling students to reach tutors as-needed and on-demand. I hope to work with many students here, and am always trying to find new opportunities to connect with and assist students.

I Love Tutoring Because

I find it very enjoyable and satisfying to work together with students and help them find answers and new understanding, in a way that feels like teamwork and a fun, cooperative process. The satisfaction of a student overcoming their academic hurdles or refining their work is something I have always felt I get to enjoy sharing in as a tutor. Most of all, I like to see students grow and improve: within single sessions, across several meetings, or over weeks or months of work.
