Career Experience
I am an experienced educator and tutor with more than 25 years of teaching experience across K–12, college, and adult education settings. I specialize in History, Social Studies, Reading, Writing, ESL, and study skills, helping students build confidence while improving their academic performance. My experience includes working with elementary, secondary, university, and adult learners in both online and in-person environments. I provide individualized support with reading comprehension, essay writing, research projects, test preparation, AP History courses, APA/MLA documentation, and college-level coursework. As a college instructor and professional tutor, I understand how to break down complex concepts into manageable steps and adapt lessons to each student's learning style and goals. Whether you need help improving grades, preparing for exams, strengthening writing skills, or mastering challenging course material, I am committed to creating a supportive learning environment that helps students achieve lasting success.
I Love Tutoring Because
it allows me to work closely with students and see their progress firsthand. I find it incredibly rewarding to help a student move from frustration and uncertainty to understanding and confidence. I enjoy discovering how each student learns best and adapting my approach to meet their individual needs. Whether I'm helping a struggling reader improve comprehension, guiding a history student through a challenging assignment, offering suggestions to revise a rigorous writing assessment, or assisting an English language learner in developing fluency, I find great satisfaction in helping students achieve goals they once thought were out of reach. Tutoring provides the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a student's academic journey, and I am continually inspired by the growth, perseverance, and success of the students I work with.
