Career Experience
With seven years total in education, I have taught 5th grade language arts and social studies for four years. Two of those I offered in-person language arts tutoring. Initially, I worked as a substitute teacher, serving five different districts with students in pre-K through 12th grade. As I was substituting, a position as a paraprofessional at a local elementary became available and I was hired full-time. In this position, I worked with kindergarten intervention groups, special education one-on-one help, and worked wherever I was needed in the building.
I Love Tutoring Because
I can meet students with misunderstandings exactly where they're at, without also managing the other pieces that go into running a classroom.
