At Bryant University in Rhode Island, learning doesn鈥檛 happen in silos. The school brings together business, humanities and social science, and health and behavioral sciences in ways that encourage students to 鈥渢hink dynamically.鈥� That mix of disciplines鈥攑aired with plenty of real-world experience鈥攊s what many say makes Bryant stand out. 鈥淭he school truly prepares us for business and leadership,鈥� one student explains, while another notes, 鈥淚t is very hard to not get a job within six months of graduating.鈥� Part of the reason for this is that the school 鈥渆xcels in its ability to provide hands-on academic experiences.鈥� The first-year Bryant IDEA Program, for example, is 鈥渁 three-day intensive program that teaches design thinking鈥� to solve real-world problems. Students can also take part in experiences like Walk on Wall Street, semester-long study abroad, or short-term faculty-led study abroad trips tied to academic courses. Overall, students describe an 鈥渁cademic experience鈥�focused on learning rather than getting a grade鈥� and where everyone is 鈥渧ery willing to offer extra help when it is needed,鈥� making it 鈥渉ard [for a student] to fall through the cracks.鈥� Many of the faculty are 鈥減rofessionals in their industry鈥� who 鈥渂ring great insight into various industries鈥� and 鈥渁pply their real-world experience鈥� to the classroom. While some students express mixed feelings about the professors, for the most part, the professors are 鈥渟uper friendly, accessible, and encourage discussion both inside and outside of the classroom.鈥� One student shares, 鈥淚 feel incredibly supported by my professors and they continuously push me to be my best self.鈥� And for many, the academics, career resources, and industry connections offered by the university pay off. As one student declares, 鈥淭he ROI for Bryant is one of the best, and I know I will be set up for a successful career after graduation.鈥�

鈥淭he Bryant community is very tight knit and helps make you feel at home on campus.鈥� The student body is often described as 鈥渕otivated, hardworking, kind, fun,鈥� and diverse 鈥渋n terms of background and occupational interest.鈥� They 鈥渙ffer a wide array of perspectives on the world,鈥� while remaining 鈥渙ne big community.鈥� One undergrad shares, 鈥淚 have been able to meet some of the best people during my time at Bryant.鈥� Undergrads are 鈥渄riven to succeed in their careers after college,鈥� and 鈥渁lmost everyone who can is employed in a summer internship.鈥� In general, students are 鈥渧ery involved and very competitive,鈥� but are also supportive of one another and 鈥減ush each other to be better.鈥� The result is a campus teeming with 鈥渄ifferent types of leaders who are each striving for their individual goals but are also devoted to maintaining a strong, cohesive student body.鈥� One student adds, 鈥淚f entrepreneurship was [a] person, it would be a Bryant student.鈥�

On this 鈥渧ery busy鈥� campus, 鈥渢here鈥檚 almost always some event going on where you can get free food, play games, get free stuff, or watch a performance.鈥� Bryant Bulldogs 鈥渢end to fill the days with different club meetings, classes, study sessions, spending time with friends, and attending different events on campus.鈥� And there are intramural sports, clubs, and organizations for nearly every interest. Many students are 鈥渧ery involved on campus鈥�[and] have multiple extracurriculars,鈥� which one student says, 鈥渉ave introduced me to a new group of people and exposed me to new ways of thinking.鈥� When the weather is nice, students like to 鈥渟it and do homework by the pond.鈥� The student programming board hosts events 鈥渁lmost every weekend, starting on Thursday and going until Sunday, so there is rarely a boring moment.鈥� Off campus, students 鈥渆njoy exploring downtown Providence鈥� for its restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. Overall, students find the campus 鈥渆xtremely welcoming鈥� and say that Bryant has the 鈥減erfect balance of academics, recreation, and extracurricular activities.鈥�

The Amica Center for Career Education at Bryant University serves as a valuable resource for students as they explore career options, gain meaningful work experience, and prepare to enter the job market. Students consistently cite the 鈥渁mazing career center鈥� as one of Bryant University鈥檚 greatest strengths. The center provides a wide range of services designed to support each student鈥檚 unique journey, including personalized career coaching, daily drop-in advising hours, mock interviews, and assistance with r茅sum茅s and LinkedIn profiles. Students also have access to career assessments through the PathwayU tool, helping them identify strengths and interests. First-year students receive an introduction to career education through the Career Launch Course, which is integrated into the general education curriculum. The Amica Center further supports students with credit internships and 鈥渟o many great career networking opportunities.鈥� One student says, 鈥淭he team in the career center does an excellent job helping students find job/internships and prepare for interviews.鈥� Through platforms like Bryant Connect and Handshake, students can easily connect with potential employers and alumni, discover job opportunities, and find internships. The university enhances career readiness by hosting two large career fairs each year, featuring over 100 employers from diverse fields. The MyPath Showcase also plays an important role in guiding students as they make informed academic and career decisions by facilitating connections with faculty and industry experts. 鈥淐areer-related events both on and off campus are excellent,鈥� says one student. Career services are available to undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni up to five years after graduation. According to Bryant alumni reporting to Payscale.com, the median early-career salary for graduates is $76,800.
