The partnership between College of Saint Benedict (for women) and Saint John鈥檚 University (for men) is evident in the Benedictine values 鈥渦pheld by every student in everyday life.鈥 For over 60 years, the two schools have shared both faith and curriculum, taking a free shuttle between classes on the two campuses while maintaining separate dorms and traditions. Part of the Integrations Curriculum includes two theology courses that are 鈥渁ll about service and making an impact in the world,鈥 as well as an experiential engagement component that includes service-learning opportunities or an 鈥渋ncredible鈥 study abroad program utilized by more than half of all students. It is, claim attendees, 鈥渁n education that is second to none,鈥 especially given the lecture series that bring scholars and experts to campus to share insights and global perspectives, helping students to forge 鈥渆ndless connections with not only other schools across the nation, but...across the world.鈥 The 鈥渆xtremely dedicated and passionate鈥 professors are at the heart of both liberal arts colleges, not just in their teaching but in their guidance toward intellectual discovery. They 鈥渁re interested in us figuring things out for ourselves鈥 and 鈥渂ig on [students] being prepared for class so more time can be spent discussing or practicing material instead of lecturing.鈥 One-quarter of all students complete research or a creative project each year, often under mentorship provided by faculty who 鈥渁re willing to work...on projects outside of class even if it means extra work for them.鈥 With the resources of two colleges and 1,500 years of Benedictine values at their disposal, students come away with 鈥渁 well-rounded education...ready to take on the world.鈥
