Grove City College draws 鈥渃onscientious and hardworking鈥� students who have 鈥渉igh standards for themselves and others in both academic and personal areas.鈥� Students appreciate the 鈥淐hrist-centered learning鈥� and find that the 鈥渞igorous coursework鈥� creates an overall academic experience that 鈥渢ruly prepares people for the real world.鈥� The school offers 70 majors and every student takes the humanities core鈥攁 series of seven courses centered around analyzing Bible scriptures alongside significant events in Western civilization. Students appreciate that Grove City 鈥渕akes their students branch out and learn a lot of different material so that they are well-rounded.鈥� For instance, there鈥檚 an entrepreneurship class where teams of students create their own businesses, and education majors spend time each week at local schools. Among the greatest strengths of Grove City are the professors. In the classroom, students speak to how they鈥檙e 鈥渧ery engaging鈥� and 鈥渨illing and eager to answer questions鈥� as they 鈥渂ring the material to life.鈥� Out of it, students appreciate that they 鈥渁lways make time for their students no matter what鈥� and overall, instructors are 鈥渧ery caring, and they want us all to do well.鈥� Its professors 鈥減rovide challenging, yet achievable expectations鈥� and 鈥渁lways have connections that help a lot of students get jobs right out of college.鈥� Overall, the school provides 鈥渕any options for students to get real world experience while still in school, which makes the transition from in school to postgraduation much easier.鈥�

Students at Grove City are 鈥渆xtremely friendly and academically driven.鈥� It鈥檚 a 鈥渧ery social鈥� campus and 鈥渘o matter where you turn at Grove City, there is always someone who is excited to see you.鈥� There鈥檚 a community feeling and students actively 鈥渟eek out opportunities to connect with others and be involved in campus life.鈥� Being 鈥減assionate about pursuing a relationship with God鈥� or having a shared belief in Christianity creates a quick bond between students and allows 鈥渇or Christ-centered conversation to flow through all aspects of campus life.鈥� Another commonality among students is in their being 鈥淕roverachievers,鈥� which is to say, 鈥渉ard workers who are passionate and respectful.鈥� However, as one student explains, they鈥檙e 鈥渁lso quite capable of relaxing and having fun as a group.鈥� Classmates can count on their peers for support: 鈥渢he schoolwork is hard, but the students are here to help each other.鈥� Another student agrees, saying, 鈥淸my peers] are so encouraging. From uplifting me in my academics to walking alongside me in my relationship with Jesus, I feel very supported here all around.鈥�

Grove City is located about an hour outside Pittsburgh, PA, and when the weather is nice, students can be found on the quad playing games like spike ball or simply enjoying the sun. Intramural sports are popular, and there are 鈥渓oads of different clubs on campus to fit any type of student鈥檚 interests,鈥� whether that鈥檚 swing dancing, fencing, or exploring the outdoors. According to students, Bible study and attending church are also popular. The school hosts many activities and 鈥渙n weekend nights there are usually 3 or so big events going on that you have to choose between.鈥� There are also plenty of Greek life events and 鈥渕ovie nights are also a crowd favorite.鈥� The surrounding town is a 鈥渓ittle quiet鈥� and while there are things to do, 鈥渢hey can get repetitive.鈥� Consequently, there is 鈥渇ar more activity on-campus than off-campus.鈥� Many students enjoy attending sporting events, and Homecoming is 鈥渙ne of the best events that Grove City College has.鈥� Students also note that the RAs 鈥渟trive to build a strong community on their halls.鈥� As one student explains, 鈥淚 know my hall so well and we are comfortable with dropping into each other鈥檚 dorm rooms or planning silly events together.鈥�

Boasting 鈥渧ery high job placement rates,鈥� Grove City College prides itself on helping students succeed during and after their formal education. One student says, 鈥淭he greatest strength of my school is how dedicated they are to helping students find a job and create a future鈥�in any way that they can and [they] have special events to help students network.鈥� Over 200 on-campus and virtual recruiting events are hosted in a typical year, and the school鈥檚 signature Fall Career Fair is one of the biggest in the region. Students don鈥檛 attend these events unprepared: the office provides numerous workshops, mock interviews, career coaching, and resume blitzes to get students employment-ready. In 2021, 96 percent of Grove City graduates secured employment or admission to graduate school. Payscale.com says Grove City graduates earn a median starting salary of $64,900, and 52 percent find a high level of meaning in their job.
