For students who don鈥檛 like to limit themselves, Manhattanville University provides 鈥渆ndless opportunities to find your passion and get involved.鈥� Undergraduates take comfort from the institution鈥檚 carefully fostered 鈥渃ommunal environment鈥� and the 鈥渃lose-knit relationships鈥� this leads to. They also freely capitalize on the university鈥檚 鈥渄iverse course selection,鈥� and the way both the academics and school provide 鈥渕any connections for internships and jobs鈥� while also serving to 鈥渉elp you build your portfolio as a young professional.鈥� Students are fairly quick to give credit where it鈥檚 due, praising professors who often act as 鈥渁mazing resources鈥� and generally 鈥渂ring a lot of expertise into their classrooms.鈥� In particular, those at Manhattanville appreciate that professors strive to 鈥渢each in a way that makes learning interesting and fun.鈥� It鈥檚 no wonder, then, that students actually seem eager to take difficult courses, knowing they鈥檒l be backed up by a faculty member who is 鈥渧ery personable and clearly communicates that they are here to help their students and facilitate their success.鈥� Based on the feedback we鈥檝e seen, it鈥檚 clear that 鈥渘o matter what the students need, there is always an office, a person, or department ready, willing, and able to help out.鈥� Considering all that, it鈥檚 no wonder that one undergrad describes time spent at Manhattanville as a 鈥渃hallenging but stressless experience.鈥�

Manhattanville undergrads seem to pride themselves on the school鈥檚 鈥渧ery diverse鈥� community. As one student immediately explains, 鈥淚 have made friends from all different backgrounds, states, and countries.鈥� Just as critically, people here are 鈥渨illing to embrace different cultures, ethnicities, sexualities and personality types.鈥� While a few individuals do note that the 鈥渟tudent body is somewhat divided into athletes and non-athletes,鈥� others insist that 鈥渋t鈥檚 easy to meet people and make friends.鈥� By and large, students say their classmates 鈥済enuinely care about everyone鈥檚 well-being鈥� and are 鈥渨illing to help you when you need.鈥� And it鈥檚 certainly common to encounter a 鈥渇riendly face鈥� as you walk across campus. The vast majority of students are also 鈥渧ery hardworking鈥� and extremely 鈥減assionate about their education and extracurriculars.鈥� Indeed, 鈥渢hey know the fields they want to be in and strive to achieve their goals.鈥� One individual further elaborates, 鈥淚 also describe them as warriors who don鈥檛 give up once they reach a failure; they keep on going no matter the road ahead.鈥� As this undergrad concludes, 鈥淓veryone I鈥檝e met is so kind and passionate and talented; it鈥檚 a great environment to be in.鈥�

At Manhattanville, there鈥檚 tons of fun to be had both in and out of the classroom. To begin with, sports are certainly very popular, and you鈥檒l find that the 鈥渕ajority of students attend athletic events to support their fellow Valiants.鈥� Many people also participate in intra-murals for rugby, volleyball and dodgeball (among others). But don鈥檛 fret if you鈥檙e not particularly sporty; there are plenty of other ways to get involved, whether that鈥檚 participating in the active student government, joining the Finance Society, working on the Manhattanville Video Project, or joining a cultural institution like the Latin American Student Association. One particular highlight is the Sister Mary T. Clark Center for Religion and Social Justice, 鈥渨here students often will go just to be around the positive energy.鈥� Additionally, 鈥渁 cappella and performance opportunities [abound]鈥� and the university sponsors numerous events such as Fall Fest, a family weekend 鈥渨ith rides, food, and plenty of entertainment鈥� as well as Quad Jam, a music festival with 鈥渇ood trucks, student performances, and a headliner performance such as We The Kings and Lupe Fiasco.鈥� Once the weekend rolls around, it鈥檚 fairly common for undergrads to head off campus-free transportation both to White Plains and New York City doesn鈥檛 hurt. 鈥淭here鈥檚 something for everyone; you just have to be ambitious enough to find exactly what it is you like to do.鈥�
