Rest assured, at Randolph College, 鈥淵ou鈥檙e not just a number; you matter as an individual.鈥� Indeed, this 鈥渟mall, tight-knit community鈥� instantly 鈥渕akes you feel welcome.鈥� Additionally, students at Randolph are grateful they attend a college that 鈥減romotes selfdiscovery, personal growth, and individuality.鈥� Further, 鈥渟mall class sizes鈥� allow for an 鈥渆mphasis on student-professor relationships,鈥� a hallmark of a Randolph education. One undergrad happily confirms, 鈥淢y academic experience has been challenging, there鈥檚 no doubt, but the professor support has made that challenge enjoyable and exciting.鈥� A fellow student agrees, sharing, 鈥淢y professors are excellent. Everyone I have had here has been supremely knowledgeable, understanding, and helpful to students. The number one goal is always to make students better thinkers.鈥� Finally, as this student gushes, 鈥淢y professors are amazing! Their passion for the subject matter and course content is infectious. I look forward to each class each day and feel confident in my education. Learning is interesting and fun here, and professors are eager to answer questions and provide resources to supplement lectures and experiments. Often professors list their home phone numbers on syllabi to allow students to contact them outside of office hours. Every professor replies to email quickly, and professors are all very easy to communicate with in the classroom and one-on-one.鈥�

Undergrads at Randolph emphatically state that there鈥檚 no typical student to be found wandering around campus. As one knowing undergrad shares, 鈥淪tudents vary widely in background and personality, preferences, [and] habits.鈥� Additionally, a 鈥渃onsiderable percentage of the student body is comprised of international students,鈥� which certainly adds to the diversity of the school. Of course, if pressed to throw out some adjectives, Randolph undergrads will likely say that their peers are 鈥渉ardworking, artistic, and caring.鈥� They are also 鈥渋ntelligent,鈥� 鈥渦nafraid to speak their minds,鈥� and 鈥渃ommitted to doing excellent work.鈥� Fortunately, 鈥渂eing such a small campus, it is hard not [to] develop lots of friends from several different social groups,鈥� and certainly, 鈥渃ampus traditions help form a very strong sense of community here.鈥� Or, as one content undergrad simply states, 鈥淓veryone gets along fairly well and it鈥檚 not too hard to fit in when there aren鈥檛 really any labels for people.鈥�

According to many undergrads, 鈥渓ife at Randolph is always busy and exciting.鈥� As one ecstatic student quickly asserts, 鈥淚 don鈥檛 think I have [been] bored [since] the day I stepped foot on this campus.鈥� And why would you be? Indeed, there are 鈥渁 wide variety of clubs and organizations [in which] to become involved.鈥� Moreover, there are 鈥渕any sports teams and exciting competitions to watch鈥� as well as intramurals, which 鈥渙ffer a chance for nonathletes to鈥� participate. In addition, there are a myriad of 鈥減arties and dances...sponsored by various organizations.鈥� These events are typically well-attended by students, as 鈥渢hey never disappoint.鈥� And for those undergrads looking for an activity a little more out of the box, there鈥檚 鈥渆ven a game called Humans vs. Zombies where students dress up and try to 鈥榯urn people into zombies鈥� with Nerf guns. It鈥檚 a lot of fun.鈥� Randolph is also home to many proud traditions and students love to partake. An insider reveals, 鈥淭he even-odd class rivalry is definitely one popular school tradition. Skeller Sings are one of the events where the even spirit society (ETAs) and odd spirit society (Gammas) will sing (read: shout) songs at each other and try to create distractions while the other group sings.鈥� Finally, when students want to look beyond the campus for fun, they can 鈥済o hiking, swimming, and boating at all the lakes, rivers, and trails. [Indeed] there is a lot of nature and history surrounding the Lynchburg area.鈥�
