The University of Dallas has cultivated a 鈥渧ery lively and friendly鈥� student body that鈥檚 鈥渂right and highly driven.鈥� They鈥檙e 鈥渁lways asking the deeper questions and very passionate about the truth.鈥� Indeed, undergrads here love to 鈥渆ngage in spontaneous conversation鈥� and it鈥檚 quite common to 鈥渇ind students in and out of class discussing the classics as if they were common knowledge to everyone.鈥� UD students also 鈥渢end to value tradition, family, and faith.鈥� This isn鈥檛 too surprising given that 鈥渁 majority of the students are Christian, and of those, most are Catholic.鈥� Another undergrad elaborates, 鈥淢ore than anywhere else I鈥檝e been, my peers also have a genuine interest in being faithful people and growing in their spiritual lives.鈥� A few individuals caution that the university鈥檚 culture is 鈥渃atered to very conservative white Catholics,鈥� but the majority assert that 鈥渢he small student body allows for genuine connections and positive interactions to take place daily鈥攁t the campus cappuccino bar, school events, and even walking down the mall between classes.鈥� As one contented undergrad shares, 鈥淚 haven鈥檛 walked away from a conversation without smiling.鈥�

There are so many things to do that I often find myself struggling to decide how to fit them all in! That鈥檚 a great 鈥減roblem鈥� to have, and one that showcases that 鈥渨hile students spend substantial time during the week on coursework, they are also quite creative when it comes to relaxing and having fun.鈥� All interests are on the table, whether that鈥檚 fencing, knitting, or 鈥渟ocieties dedicated to Tocqueville and Alexander Hamilton.鈥� For those seeking additional intellectual stimulation, there are 鈥渕any lectures, debates, and discussions given by our professors throughout the year.鈥� For those wanting something different, there are activities like 鈥渂onfires, musical jam sessions, intramural sports, events in Dallas and Fort Worth, road trips, camping, hiking, etc.鈥�

Students at the University of Dallas definitely leave campus well prepared for their post-graduate lives. They are fortunate to get amazing support from the school鈥檚 Office of Personal Career Development, which works closely with anyone who wants help starting from day one. For example, they host periodic Milk & Cookies events to introduce themselves and inform students about how they can be of assistance. The office also sponsors career fairs every year and consistently welcomes top corporations. Additionally, undergrads have the opportunity to attend numerous information sessions and on-campus interviews with potential employers. It鈥檚 safe to say these efforts pay off, given that the vast majority of students receive job offers within six months of graduation with a median starting salary of $54,000.
