Gorgeous University of Miami offers an 鈥渋ncredible range鈥� of courses of study, chief among them 鈥済reat programs in the sciences, engineering [and] music.鈥� Class sizes are small and internship opportunities are plentiful. Students here feel that they鈥檙e getting a 鈥渨ell-rounded education,鈥� and 鈥渕aking connections鈥� that they can capitalize on in the future. Though many undergrads report that their 鈥渃ourses are difficult,鈥� they also find them incredibly 鈥渞ewarding.鈥� Inside the classroom, Miami students are delighted to find the majority of their professors are 鈥渆asily approachable鈥� and 鈥渋ncredibly knowledgeable.鈥� They clearly want 鈥渢heir students to learn and succeed.鈥� Indeed, 鈥渢hey are always there for you and open to helping in any way they can.鈥� Moreover, professors here are 鈥渨ell informed on the topic and are [typically] accessible after class.鈥� As one grateful student sums up, 鈥淚 have had great academic success at UM largely because of my supportive and helpful professors. They deserve a lot more credit than they receive.鈥�

Many undergrads at University of Miami proudly report that their peers are 鈥渧ery diverse.鈥� Indeed, you鈥檒l find that 鈥渢here are people here from all over the world with different cultures, different experiences, and different likes and dislikes.鈥� As one amazed student shares, 鈥淵ou can hear so many different languages being spoken on campus.鈥� Nevertheless, while you might encounter people from around the country and the globe, a handful of undergrads insist that a number of their fellow students are 鈥渇rat bros and girls that [simply] want to have fun.鈥� Additionally, a lot of students appear to come from 鈥渧ery affluent鈥� families, and 鈥渓uxury cars and going out to clubs on South Beach aren鈥檛 out of the ordinary.鈥� However, others are quick to describe the culture as 鈥渧ery inclusive and understanding.鈥� And many assert that University of Miami students are 鈥渁lways willing to help out and assist you in finding your way.鈥� Another undergrad bolsters this claim by sharing, 鈥淚 was lost on the first day of my first semester and an upperclassman pointed me in the direction of my class without being asked! It really made my day.鈥� Perhaps most importantly, we鈥檝e been assured that 鈥渆veryone can find their own social group here.鈥�

There is always something going on at the University of Miami. The campus is frequently abuzz with a multitude of fun events like the 鈥渇armers market, patio jams...and random activities [such as] laser tag, cornhole, food trucks [and] Frisbee game[s].鈥� 鈥淭he majority of students are involved in more than one campus club or activity鈥� and a number of undergrads seek out volunteer opportunities. As one student explains, 鈥淲e also have special service days that get good turnouts including Gandhi Day, Orientation Outreach, and MLK Day of Service.鈥� And plenty of undergrads spend their time 鈥減oolside, beachside, tailgating, anything they can find to have a good time.鈥� University of Miami also has a 鈥渧ery active/sporty population鈥� with many students participating in both 鈥渃lub sports [and] intramural sports.鈥� Additionally, 鈥淕reek life is relatively popular, though the community is very welcoming and non-exclusive.鈥� And students also love 鈥淐anes After Dark [which often sponsors] cool activities like movies by the pool or snowball fights.鈥� Finally, nearby Miami 鈥減rovides a lot of opportunity for adventure.鈥� Indeed, it has a 鈥渧ibrant night life,鈥� a 鈥渨ide array of cuisine,鈥� world-class museums, and beautiful beaches. You couldn鈥檛 ask for anything more!

Undergrads at the University of Miami assert that the school is the 鈥渂est place to kickstart your career.鈥� To begin with, the alumni network 鈥渋s very useful.鈥� Plus, it doesn鈥檛 hurt that the university is 鈥渓ocated in a large city that offers a wide variety of internship programs, career opportunities, [and] networking events.鈥� Moreover, students find that it 鈥渉as a good name and a hardworking career center, which helps graduates find jobs.鈥� Indeed, the center鈥檚 employees diligently strives to ensure that all undergrads are prepared for their job hunt by running unique programs like the Career Crawl, an event allowing students to explore what it鈥檚 like to both live and work in various cities around the world. And that鈥檚 not to mention the more traditional options such as job shadowing, which also provides a great snapshot of potential careers and industries.
