Life at Ole Miss 鈥渋s always super busy鈥� on this lively campus. While 鈥渟chool and grades are a very important aspect of life鈥� and there is 鈥渁 lot of work,鈥� the university also provides numerous extracurricular activities and 鈥渁 lot of opportunities for fun.鈥� Sports are a big part of campus life: 鈥淒uring football season, the Grove consumes our weekends. It鈥檚 an amazing experience!鈥� While 鈥渒nown for its Greek life鈥� and 鈥済reat parties,鈥� the school has a wide variety of extracurriculars to get involved in. Students say it鈥檚 a common misconception that 鈥渕ost people鈥檚 minds revolve around drinking, college football, and church on Sunday.鈥� For example, students love events like the 鈥淭hacker Mountain Radio on Thursdays and poetry readings monthly at Proud Larry鈥檚,鈥� as well as live music. Students enjoy Oxford鈥檚 鈥渟mall, hometown feel鈥� and frequently spend time in the Square, which offers restaurants, shopping, bars, and live music.
