Niners also enjoy downtime in 鈥渢he botanical gardens, the hammocks, the nap pods, and the library.鈥� Students love being part of a campus that is 鈥渕odern, growing quickly,鈥� and reflective of the larger city around it, with convenient light rail access from campus to downtown. Niner Engage, an online platform, helps students find clubs and events that match their interests, whether that鈥檚 鈥渁 community tea group鈥� or Late Night Breakfast鈥攁 pre-finals tradition where university administrators and staff serve students a free meal to kickstart studying for final exams. Niners can trust that 鈥渢here is always an event or group of people who you鈥檒l find friends among.鈥� Admittedly, on weekends, the campus can feel 鈥渧ery quiet鈥� without as many students around, but the Greek scene helps with that. Says one engineering student: 鈥淚 love hanging out with my fraternity brothers. It doesn鈥檛 matter what the event is鈥�whether Intramurals, social events, or even just hanging out at the house.鈥� Students note that Charlotte and the school share a similar trajectory: both started off small, and now 鈥渢he city and university are both booming.鈥�
