The University of Virginia School of Law is an 鈥渙verall amazing place in all areas.鈥� Students rave about the culture and say it鈥檚 the people who make the school special. As one student puts it, 鈥淎ll the people, from the faculty, staff, and students, all are so excited to be there and happy to lend a helping hand.鈥� Students describe the atmosphere as collegial and emphasize that 鈥渋t's not just a buzzword鈥he school does a great job of embodying the spirit of collaboration and inclusion.鈥� This spirit is exemplified by professors who 鈥渕ake the classroom experience enjoyable and comfortable for all students鈥� and by an administration who 鈥渢ruly dedicate themselves to making students' lives better.鈥� The administration is a 鈥渨ell-oiled machine and extremely thoughtful,鈥� and students love the personalized attention and advice. As one student illustrates, 鈥渟tudent affairs, counseling and disability services, and career services all seem to work together symbiotically鈥� and are 鈥渙pen to discussing your 鈥榖ig picture.鈥欌�� Another student adds that career services 鈥渄oes a fantastic job here ensuring that my personal goals are met.鈥�

There are 鈥渓ots of fun social activities,鈥� and the school is 鈥渧ery community oriented.鈥� Students 鈥済et to enjoy law school at UVA鈥� and 鈥渆very day at school is a generally happy experience.鈥� There are 鈥渟tudent orgs aplenty and most students find their niche with something.鈥� Popular extracurriculars range from participating in the 鈥淚nternational Tax Moot Court competition鈥� to playing softball, which is 鈥渁 huge part of our life here.鈥� Overall, students are 鈥渧ery social鈥� and 鈥減eople get along and like to hang out.鈥� Students appreciate the school鈥檚 proximity to D.C. and the close-knit feeling of Charlottesville. As one student illustrates, 鈥淚'll always be bumping into friends and meeting new students. It feels so warm and supportive.鈥� The facilities here are 鈥渢op-notch,鈥� including the law library, which 鈥渙ffers incredible research support.鈥� The school 鈥渁ttracts a diverse student body,鈥� and students 鈥渉ave a strong respect for one another.鈥� UVA has an 鈥渋ncredibly supportive and cooperative鈥� atmosphere.
