Students choose the Elisabeth Haub School of Law for many reasons. Among them are its strong reputation in environmental law, the opportunities for 鈥渁 wide variety of practical experience,鈥� including clinics and externships, and the program鈥檚 flexibility. Students can choose to attend part-time or full-time and start in the spring or fall, which helps make it easier to balance school and work. In addition, students accepted into the school鈥檚 Pro Bono Scholars Program have the opportunity to take the bar exam before graduation and spend twelve weeks working pro bono for a law clinic or nonprofit. There 鈥渁re a lot of great course offerings鈥� at the school and professors 鈥渁re willing to go above and beyond.鈥� While some remark that the administration can feel disorganized at times, it鈥檚 鈥渁lways responsive,鈥� with one student adding that 鈥渢he support system is our school's greatest strength.鈥�
Students say that while some professors are more engaging than others, 鈥渁 majority of the professors are well-prepared and good at what they do,鈥� and they 鈥渄eliver academic material in a relatable and practical manner.鈥� While Pace may be known for its environmental law, students note that the school 鈥渄oes a great job at getting students ready for other paths.鈥� Overall, students find the academic experience rewarding. As one student describes the program, 鈥淭he material learned is great and I feel as if the school has done a lot for me in my legal career.鈥�

Students find that the 鈥渃lassroom and research facilities are excellent in terms of accessibility, training, and use鈥� and say that 鈥渢he librarians are the most useful and helpful people on campus.鈥� Some of the facilities feel 鈥渁 bit dated,鈥� with one student noting that the HVAC system could use an update and several elevators are 鈥渧ery old.鈥� Overall, 鈥渕ost of the classrooms are equipped with solid technology鈥� and are 鈥渄esigned in a way to maximize learning.鈥�
Students here 鈥渁re very nice鈥� and it's an environment where 鈥減eople are able to make large groups of friends.鈥� One student believes 鈥渢he school could do better promoting the school as a community,鈥� while adding that students tend to create their own community 鈥渁s we are all going through the law school process.鈥� As one student remarks, 鈥淚 was someone who kept to myself, but I was still able to make good friends in my time through school.鈥� While some say the atmosphere is 鈥渇airly competitive,鈥� others say that students 鈥渟upport each other very well鈥� and they appreciate a 鈥渄iverse student population.鈥�
